Red Flags When Buying

Rapid Degradation More than 3-4% loss per year suggests abuse, defect, or extreme climate exposure
Inconsistent Cell Voltages Significant variation between cells may indicate failing modules
Hot Climate History EVs from Arizona, Nevada, or desert climates often show accelerated degradation
Heavy DC Fast Charging Check charging history if available—excessive fast charging wears batteries faster
Prior Accidents Battery damage from collisions may not be immediately apparent
